Effective date: 1 January 2025
Welcome to LETE, your home of Health and Nutrition! Our vision is to create a positive, supportive, and safe platform that allows users to freely record and explore workouts and recipes to reach their health goals. To achieve and maintain this environment, we have created the LETE Community Guidelines. These guidelines set out the core principles the LETE team and the users of the platform must abide by to build and protect a safe and inclusive environment. We are committed to these guidelines, and in return, by using the LETE app, you too agree to the Community Guidelines and the Terms of Use. The failure to abide by these standards may result in enforcement actions, including content removal, account suspension, or termination. The following are the guidelines:
Respect Others
- Treat all community members with kindness and respect. Harassment, hate speech, bullying, and discrimination will not be tolerated.
- Be mindful of cultural sensitivities and avoid content that may be offensive or harmful to others.
Authenticity
- Share content that is your own and accurately represents you. Impersonation of others or sharing false information is prohibited.
- Do not create fake accounts/communities or engage in deceptive practices. Furthermore, do not create clubs that use the name of an actual gym/studio/club.
- Do not share personal information (yours or others') that could compromise privacy or safety, such as addresses, phone numbers, or financial details.
Safety First
- Although we believe the LETE platform is a place where people going through eating disorders, mental health issues, or self-injury can find inspiration and support, we will not tolerate any content that encourages self-injury. Any content that is reported to us that we believe falls under this category will be removed, and the account it is originated from will also be terminated. We will also remove content and terminate accounts whereby the content harmfully attacks or makes fun of survivors of self-injury or those going through it.
- By using the LETE platform, you agree to be at least the minimum legal age established in your country of residence, or at least 16 years old if no specific legal minimum age is prescribed.
- Anonymously report any threats, harassment, unsafe behaviour or accounts of those under LETE’s age restrictions to our moderation team immediately through our reporting functions.
Appropriate Content
- Share content that is relevant to fitness and wellness. Pornographic, violent, or excessively graphic material is strictly prohibited.
- Authentic or digitally created content containing nudity (including genitals, unclothed buttocks and sexual intercourse) are not allowed. Although we allow people to share content of their kids, images/videos of partially nude or nude children may also be removed as they could be found or used by others in ways that they weren’t intended. LETE reserves the right to remove content at its discretion if it poses a risk or doesn’t comply with the Terms of Use and these Community Guidelines
- Ensure that any music or copyrighted material used in your posts complies with applicable laws and licensing requirements.
No Spam or Self-Promotion
- Avoid posting repetitive posting, excessive links, or irrelevant promotions. Self-promotion should be conducted respectfully and in accordance with our policies.
- Engage with others meaningfully rather than simply promoting your own services or products.
E-safety Compliance
- We are committed to the principles set forth by the eSafety Commission and Online Safety Act in Australia. We encourage users to be aware of online safety and report any harmful content or behaviour.
- LETE will comply with any takedown notices from the eSafety Commissioner.
- Users are encouraged to educate themselves about online safety practices and to seek support if they encounter issues.
Compliance with the Law
- All users must comply with applicable laws, including those related to copyright, privacy, and online conduct.
- LETE is not a place to share content encouraging terrorism, organised crime or hate groups. Furthermore, content relating to the buying and selling of illegal products (including but not limited to firearms, alcohol, tobacco, non-medicinal/pharmaceutical drugs, live animals or sexual services) will not be tolerated. We may also take necessary action that encourages the use of illegal products.
- LETE has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to the sharing of sexual content involving minors, sharing or threatening to share intimate and offensive content of another person.
- Do not engage in activities that violate local, national, or international laws.
- In situations where we believe there may be a risk of physical harm or a threat to public safety, we may contact and work with local law enforcement.
Reporting and Moderation
- Use our reporting tools to flag any content that violates these guidelines. Any use of LETE’s reporting functionality will remain anonymous to the public, and our moderation team will review reports promptly and take appropriate action.
- LETE reserves the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.
- Do not use our reporting tool for any means other than the intended purposes. Our moderation team may take appropriate action on those meaninglessly reporting legitimate content. Any queries, concerns or if you do not agree with the actions we have taken in response to reporting, please contact us immediately at support@leteapp.com.
